Flash Drive January 6, 2009 I haven't had any problems with this flash drive. However, I was disapointed when I first received the item because it had a few scratches on the USB connector. But the most important thing is that it works and it was pretty cheap.
I agree --EVIL January 4, 2009 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have bought SanDisk products for years and they've been fine. But no more. Like the other reviewer said, this thing installs software on your computer without asking; you plug it in and it starts loading. THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS. You can't stop it. It actually CAN be uninstalled, but you have to jump through hoops. Google "uninstall U3" if you need help. Or read the screen carefully after it opens, and follow the instructions to disable it (look in Settings)--then reformat the drive yourself to be sure (R click on drive name > format. Note that formatting will erase everything on the drive).
The program is some thing to help you run applications from your usb stick. Well, that is fine. Other companies put free software on their sticks. But it should NEVER run by itself, just by being plugged in. Arrrrgh! What were they thinking?
I put it in my Mac first (Macs aren't affected by it), saw the thing listed and deleted it--but it still ran when I put it in my PC! Double evil!
I assume this U3 thing is on SanDisk's other drives as well. Beware! Complain to SanDisk: support@sandisk.com
Love this Little Guy! January 4, 2009 Works perfectly, but as a word of advice, I would remove the U3 software that comes with the device. It's annoying on load up, and only marginally useful.
You have to goto U3's website to download the removal software, which is a bit of the pain, but well worth to fully use this solid device.
Storing Your Life Away December 31, 2008 These days, when it comes down to computers, everybody is looking for a simple and easy way to store all your files on one format. While we've stored them onto floppy disks and CD-ROM disks, there are few ways that we can bring them on the go that can be as simple. This Sandisk Flash Drive handles very well, by allowing you to bring your biggest files that are more easily secured here, inc;luding music and media downloads from MP3 music files, to work projects that take up much more space that youn use for Excel and Movies and videos from Itunes. It handles the job very well, and is sturdy to tag along, at an affordable price. While there have been others that I've tried, SanDisk does the job very well, and I absolutely recommend this for your home computer or your laptop a whole lot.

Great Purchase December 29, 2008 I love this thumb drive. It's sturdy. I also love the fact that it doesn't need a cap. You just slide the drive out when you need it and slide it back in when you don't. I don't have to worry myself with "where did I put that cap?"
