Garmin 750 GPS December 28, 2008 This GPS does everything it says it should do. It is compact and easy to transport. An interesting feature that was not disclosed is that you have a few voice options.
Great unit.... December 24, 2008 This is first GPS I've purchased. It's an entry level unit without all frills, but does an excellent job navigating and very easy to use. Most of my experience has been with rental NeverLost units, this unit far exceeds usability of those! Great price/performance.
Great GPS December 22, 2008 I'm really liking my new Garmin NUVI. In reality I'm a very good navigator myself. But sometimes I missed a helping hand. NUVI has filled that space. It's voice activated guidance is quite good. One thing I feel is missing is that it does not give good points of interest options. The other day, I was looking for Walgreens, but I didn't see any options for Pharmacy. I had to spell that name....that was inconvenient. Other than that it works fine. I'll recommend you to buy it.
Great Product December 22, 2008 I got this for my wife. The 750 is very user friendly. It works as advertised. I have recommended this to friends.
Best thing since the Post-It sticker December 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This has become my savior, since I moved to a new area recently. I never used to believe in these gadgets, but this is one item that every directionally-challenged individual should get. It's important to get one like the 750, which specifies the street names, it stops you from having to look at the screen, and taking your eyes off the road. On the whole, it's fairly accurate. The challenge is usually when it starts up, it's doesn't really clearly indicate where you are, so you take pot luck on the direction, until you hear the slightly annoyed female voice announce 'Recalculating'...! It does do a great job getting you back on track. The maps are not that clear, and for some reason do not point in the same direction that you're driving. However THE VOICE is assuredly confident with the directions, that it is practically void. Unless it's just me not knowing how to use the POI or address correctly, sometimes it's difficult to pick up locations for specific shops, and the database is not up to date with all places. (understandably shops spring up (and close) all the time. In summary, I'm very pleased with the Nuvi 750, though I wish it came with a cover included already.
