This little book light is perfect for the Kindle...since there is no backlighting on the Kindle, this solves the problem! Very energy-saving since you don't need the room lights on!!!

Bright it is. It also fits well on the cover for the Kindle. Lasts a long time on the supplied batteries.

I gave this to my husband for Christmas for use with books, not a Kindle. He says it works very well - the light is clear and focused. It also doesn't wake me up, which is a huge positive.

The best book light I ever found January 6, 2009
I've spent hours over the past few years looking for a truly bright enough book light. This is it. In contrast, the Itty Bitty Book light (that I bought and threw out after it sat in my drawer for several years) was masterfully marketed but it was too dim to use. This one is so bright, I'm buying more as gifts.
