Good value for the money January 8, 2009
I bought the friction mount for my garmin GPS because I didn't want to attach the GPS to my windshield. I have to say that I am extremely satisfied with its performance. The mount is really stable, and doesn't move around on the dash while driving. It also lets you hide the GPS unit when it is not in use. Overall a good buy!

Dashboard mount was everything as described,shipping was quick,this mount is far superior to the suction mount from garmin. If you don't want a mount attatched to your window I would highly recommend this one.
Garmin portable friction dashboard is great January 8, 2009
I purchased one of these several months ago for myself. My daughter saw it on the dash of my car and said she would like one too. I bought her one for Christmas. It really stays put on the dash no matter how fast you turn a corner or stop. It is so much better than the windshield mount. I would highly suggest this to everyone no matter what kind of car you have. I have a Dodge Durango SUV and a Mustang GT convertible and it works wonderfully in both.
 A Bit Shaky January 8, 2009
I purchased this mount to replace the suction cup window mount that came with my Nuvi 660. Unfortunately, when placed on my F-150 dashboard, my Nuvi 660 shakes and makes looking at the display annoying. Went back to the window mount. Other than the shake, the unit performed as described.

I was so pleased with my first one, I bought 2 more of them for my kids. The lockable swivel mount holds my Nuvi 750 in place, and the flexible, weighted "wings" make it easy to position it anywhere I want it, even in between the pillar and the dashboard shroud of my Honda. The wings even fold upward if you want yo store it in a small area or pouch. I fully recommend it.
