I got this pack for an extended trip with my new DSLR and several lenses. It was easy to access and comfortable, but when fully loaded was quite a bit to lug around. With the laptop in its sleeve, it was difficult to get under an airplane seat and would not fit in the overhead bin of one small commercial jet. The shoulder straps and belly-band were comfortable when walking long distances. Overall, I like the backpack and feel the quality is very high. It is definitely heavy-duty!

My wife and I each have one of these backpacks for our cameras. They not only carry a digital SLR but also a large macro lens, a telephoto lens, a wide angle lens and a flash unit. The upper part also allows us to carry all the little extras like extension tubes, magnifying lens, cable releases, filters, etc. All this stuff is easy to carry on location as the pack is extremely comfortable and well-balanced. I'd recommend this backpack to anyone serious about carrying everything you need into the field.

I purchased this backpack because I need to carry a digital SLR, small video camera and a lap top. The construction needed to be excellent, and to be comfortable on my back. This case meets these requirements to a tee. Unfortunately, the back pack is not practical for mobile shooting. The bottom portion of the backpack has bays to store equipment. The zipper, though, is a single device that must be zipped all the way around to open this part of the storage area. When you open this part the flap sticks up and out. As a result, it is very difficult to access the equipment to shoot. Since the bays point out (parallel to the ground) you can't simply have the backpack over your shoulder and safely access this section. I ended up buying another bag when I arrived at my location. The storage area in the top in also somewhat limited. So, if your main purpose is to use this backpack strickly as a transporting container it's a great choice, especially if you need to also bring a laptop along.

I was pleased to discover that my Canon 400mm f/5.6 fits nicely...so long as I don't have it attached to a camera body. I'm able to fit that lens, two digital bodies, and two other small lenses in the "camera" half of the bag.
The top half of the bag has plenty of room for spare batteries, cell phone, snack, and 8x40 binoculars. The mesh pocket on the outside is great for a water bottle.
The pack is pretty comfortable (even while full) when I ride my bike around town.
My old iBook fits snugly in the laptop pouch, even though it's much smaller than the maximum size.
Overall, I've found it to be a great bag that really met my needs.
EDIT: I can also fit a 70-200mm lens in the bag with two cameras, a 50mm macro, an 18-50mm and a 400 f/5.6!

We got this in right before we left on a two week trip to Europe. We were able to easily carry our laptop, camera, lenses, and travel documents all together in this well put together backpack. When going through airport security, it was easy to remove everything we needed in a quick fashion! My husband and I highly recommend this new backpack from Lowepro.
