Product Description Giotto's new professional optical screen protector is named "AEGIS" a rigid optic glass from Zeiss, Germany. It protects the LCD panel against abrasion, scratches or incident impact. Multi-layer efficient anti-reflective coatings can help with clarity and color blindness. No more residual image or ghost image, always high definition and transmission on your LCD screen. Suitable for all digital cameras and DV's.

Giottos Screen Protector November 19, 2008 As I thought in my previous review of this LCD Protector...It is easily broken. This is my 2nd purchase in less than 9 mos. It broke when I accidentally bumped the protector while attaching my camera to my tripod. It is very thin glass but I think it is much better than any of the plastic screen protectors I have seen. It is expensive and I think I will break quite a few with my new camera but it is better than scratching or breaking the LCD Screen permanently. Just be very careful!
Slightly too small for Nikon D300 November 8, 2008 This item is slightly too small in the vertical dimension for the Nikon D300. Otherwise, it seems fine.
Thin and clear on my SD790 IS October 29, 2008 I put this on my Canon SD790IS and while the black border covers about a millimeter around the edge of the LCD it fits on the back of the camera just fine and I'm not concerned about scratching the screen anymore. This protector comes with a microfiber cloth (unlike the da protectors i've used before). Also, it's much thinner than the plastic da protector and i like that very much - well worth the extra money.
Great While It Lasted September 28, 2008 I use this on a Canon 40D. It protects the screen on the camera and it is like it's not there, until your nose touches it and then it readily gets soiled. Even with that issue, I would still like it since it protects the screen of the camera. HOWEVER, like other people have experienced, it fell off after 2 months of use. That's outrageous for an item that is only supposed to be able to be removed using a heat gun. I would not get this screen. It will not last. The glue is not what it should be. Perhaps it is contaminated with melamine.
Awesome LCD Protection August 23, 2008 My wife and I bought a new Canon 40d. It came with a cheesy peel off LCD screen cover. Provided no protection. Figured we spent so much money on the camera, for the LCD screen to get scratched and possibly cost hundreds of dollars to fix = an easy purchase. The Giotto screen protector is everything we wanted and then some. So far so good with no issues. If you have a 40d then spend the few extra bucks to protect your investment. Well worth it.
