If you frequently eat alone in restaurants, this Kindle is for you!! I don't feel so uncomfortable and all alone as long as I have my Kindle in my purse! I have a choice of all my books consolidated in one little Kindle!! I love it.
Kindle great for reading in bed December 1, 2008
I received Kindle as a gift from my wife, and I have read and loaded 2 new books using this reader. I was very impressed at the ease of finding and downloading a book- in one case from a parking lot at a shopping center. The download is very fast and painless! The generally lower price of the on-line books makes it an atttractive long-term proposition.
I read books everywhere I go (on planes, in trains, in doctor's offices, and in bed at night). I have found Kindle to be very readable and convenient to take and read wherever I am. I am impressed with the ability to select whatever print size one wishes and on the readability of the text in varying light conditions. I have been most impressed with Kindle for reading large, otherwise heavy printed books why lying down in bed. After a while, a thick book gets to be a burden on the wrists and chest forcing one to cut the reading short or move to a sitting position. Kindle is so lightweight and easy to handle that it allows me to stop reading when I want to. Perhaps the only minor complaint that I would have about Kindle is a need for larger areas to hold the reader without danger of accidently hitting an action key or pad. Also, at first I was disappointed with the quality of the leather book cover, but I have learned to adapt it. It was very easy- just slip a large, thin rubber band around the right hand edge of the reader and over the book cover. This prevents it from falling out of the book cover; when the cover is folded back behind the reader, it provides a nice hand-hold for the reader.

I love my Kindle and prefer to read from it rather than from regular books. I purchased it in October 2008. I have some problem with holding the Kindle. The Next Page and Previous Page tabs are right on the sides where you want to hold it. I strap the elastic band across the right side to keep it in the case and hold it just above the keyboard.

I love my Kindle. It is so easy to pop into my purse and always have a book with me. It is very easy to use and I have been able to purchase my favorite new books and also books that I want to re-read. Great purchase!

The Kindle is a must have for anyone who reads several books a month. The presentation is exceptional. It is so easy to use that you don't have to read the instructions. Finally, the book selection is very good and you have the book on your device in seconds.
