Great little big thing January 6, 2009 I looked around before getting a netbook. I basically needed a computer to check my e-mail at home, youtube around, blog, keep my music, my pictures, personal files, I wanted a computer with long battery life, portable, maybe make some funky loops and grooves, bought the Acer Aspire One, 6 -cell, 160GB.... got it all, and a bit more.
It's a nice little machine, boots up pretty quick, shuts down fast also, I would recommend not installing heavy ram consuming apps. It does have a kindy noisy fan as other reviews will tell you but it doesn't get in your way, If you don't mind a little fan noise you'll be pretty satisfied with this product.
excellent netbook! January 6, 2009 Excellent product. I especially like the ease of WiFI use and the 6 cell battery. Thanks Amazon for selling this product!
Excellent Notebook - highly recommended January 6, 2009 The Acer is a wonderful product, small and lightweight, it can go anywhere. Wireless card included. It is being used for a small business requiring travel and works great! I would highly recommend this for someone on the go in need of a light weight alternative. (**Remember - this does not have an internal CD/DVD drive, so if that is what you need as well, don't purchase this or purchase an external drive to go with it)
It Rocks! January 6, 2009 I gave my laptop to my daughter and use only the netbook. After reading reviews, I'm glad I spent a little more on the Acer. Nuff said!
Worth 4x the price January 6, 2009 I love this machine. For traveling it's perfect. I keep it in my sling backpack for daily use walking to work, or just hanging out in a waiting room, restaurant, or cafe. Combined with my air card it's the most liberating thing I've owned since I got my first car at age 16. Most of what I do is remote into work, so the size of the hard drive, speed of the chip, or RAM is inconsequential to me.
